"Sparky here, just working the office and

supervising the volunteers...

it's hard work, but somebody has to do it!"

12/3/2014 - Saturn is healed well physically and is now working on her socialization with volunteers.  She loves to be outside but still is uncomfortable with human touch in certain places.  Saturn is waiting for a very patient owner to adopt her and continue working on this process.

11/17/2014 - Saturn is back at New Life.  She is healing well, eating and taking her meds.  She is still very timid, but with time and patience she will improve.  Saturn will be available for adoption soon, stop out to meet her!

11/16/2014 Sadly, Pluto was not alive.  Saturn underwent surgery last night and did well with that.  She is now on meds and recovering with Dr. K for a few days before returning to New Life.  While we didn't get puppies, Saturn should be feeling better soon.  She will never have to go through that ordeal again and can now work on finding her own 'new life'.

11/14/2014 We are still awaiting the birth of Pluto.  Saturn is resting comfortably.  If she doesn't deliver today, we will be checking her in to the Emergency Vet Clinic for evaluation and monitoring.

11/12/2014 Saturn gave birth to Neptune @ 9pm, but sadly he didn't make the night.  We are still awaiting, Pup #2, Pluto.  Send some good thoughts for a better outcome for Saturn and Pluto.

We have some exciting news and this is a first for us at New Life.  Saturn is expecting 2 puppies very soon!  She is under veterinary care and will be monitored.  Because she is quite timid, our vet may decide that foster care is more appropriate, but for now we wait.  Saturn won't be available for adoption until the pups are born and weaned and then she will eventually be spayed.
